Singing by Ourselves

October 14, 2020 by Deborah Hudson

Singing in the Woods

Going to the Woods to Sing

It’s not so long ago that singing around the house, in the streets and even at work was all perfectly normal…

In some societies children were even given songs as well as names, at birth.

Now we are being asked not to sing with others...but we can still sing by ourselves. We can still sing at home, in the woods, in the park even. We can express ourselves in song as we cook, as we tidy up, as we shower.

It doesn’t have to be loud, it doesn’t have to be accurate but it’ll be our way of saying
“here we are, we are alive and we are being ourselves.”
