I have been fortunate in my partnership with London Charterhouse and have very much enjoyed performances singing for Peace of Mind lunch times.
These are improvised and non improvised songs which I sing unaccompanied, to create an atmosphere of peace and reflection. The trials have gone well so far and we hope to schedule more this year.
I also enjoyed very much singing for the Good Friday service in the chapel.
I was also extremely honoured to open the memorial concert for Ameral Gunson with the Mozart Solemn Vespers K339. It was a lovely, moving event to celebrate the passion, knowledge and enthusiasm Ameral shared with all her students.
Most recently I have started a series of Spanish song recitals with songs by De Falla, Obradors, Mompou and Rodrigo plus some Zarzuellas, with accompanist Suzy Ruffles
Our first concert was held at St Vedast in the city. It went really well which isn’t a surprise when you consider it’s such fantastic music!
More to come….
